Editor's Comment:

The SASSI STEAM science book is a great tool to introduce little ones to science. It covers a wide range of science topics including astronomy, biology, botany, chemistry, anthropology and more. Each topic covered is not in depth, but the content is rich enough to keep little ones engaging. Apart from the book, you and your kids also have a chance to build your very own DNA model, which looks very cool.

This book can be used as a tool to gauge your child's science interests as well. Well, that is how I use it anyway. As for my older daughter she shows huge interests to astronomy and chemistry when I first introduce this book to her half a year ago (she was ~3 at that time). And she now knows her periodic table (up to arsenic) and solar systems by heart. And as the DNA model is just sitting in our playroom, she got to see it, rotate it, touch it every now and then. Surprisingly, she is asking me to show her videos about DNA in YouTube these few days. I am not sure if this is average for a 3.5 year old as she is my first one, but I am proud to see a happy science learner in the house.
